Suncor Energy Inc. is spending $1.4 billion dollars to replace its coke fire boilers with two cogeneration) units at its oilsands plant north of Fort McMurray, Alta.
These changes will help reduce costsand reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with steam production by approximately 25 per cent. The project is expected to be in service in the second half of 2023
